Mario is the main protagonist of the Super Mario series. In the Super Mario Galaxy series, he retains his role as said protagonist. His main goal is to rescue Princess Peach from the grasps of Bowser and Bowser Jr.. In doing so, he is brought into space. Along his journey he meets Luma, Rosalina, Lubba and some other characters that aid him on his quest. His brother, Luigi, is also there too as an alternate to Mario.

Physical Appearance[]

Mario is an average sized Italian man. He has brown hair, blue eyes, a black mustache, and a large round nose. He wears a red cap with an "M" for "Mario", a red shirt with sleeves extending to his white gloves, blue overalls with yellow buttons, and brown boots.

The Many Forms of Mario[]

In Super Mario Galaxy, Mario can use the spin attack to break open some orbs, or even use some other ways to get a mushroom/flower/star. Then he will transform into different forms depending on his powerup.

Bee Mario: Mario can use the wings on his back to fly.
Rainbow Mario: Mario is invincible! Any enemy that touches his body takes extreme damage, often dying in one hit. This is Mario's strongest form.
Boo Mario: Mario becomes a Ghost. His star spin allows him to turn transparent. He can walk through walls in his clear state and has infinite jumps.
Ice Mario: Mario cannot enter a body of water, but he can walk across it, creating frozen tiles in his wake.
Fire Mario: Mario can use his star spin to throw fireballs.
Spring Mario: Mario automatically jumps instantly when he lands, and if you press A when he lands, his next jump will be powerful. Mario will also automatically wall jump by just touching the wall.
Rock Mario: Mario attracts boulders onto his body through his star spin. The boulders meld onto his body, which allows him to crush a foe with their weight. The boulders fall apart when their structural integrity is pierced with a wall.
Cloud Mario: Mario can create platforms when he performs his spin. The platforms will vanish within a few seconds on their own, or if Mario ground pounds them or some hazard hits them. Mario will also be lighter, and his jumps will thus be floatier.
